Over-Exercising
Over-exercising is using your body too hard for too long a time. A regular
exercise program provides many benefits, and its normal to be mildly sore
and a little tired following your workouts. You might even push yourself
beyond your limits at times, and that's okay too. But, if you overdo it
without allowing your body to recover, it can break down.
Over-exercising can lead to chronic injuries. Your heart rate may increase
and your appetite may decrease, leading to unhealthy weight loss. If you're
exercising too hard, your regular workout might seem more difficult or
you may feel fatigued after just a few exercises. As a result, progress
in your training can be delayed. Here are a few tips to help keep your
body healthy so that you can train safely:
*Practice patience. If you think that over-exercising will lead to
faster results, you're wrong!
*Cut down on your current routine or choose easier exercises until
your body has time to recover.
*Take at least one day off between workouts and get plenty of sleep.

Chill Out:
The physical symptoms of over-exercising range from muscle soreness and
general fatigue to insomnia and loss of normal appetite. You can avoid
over-training or over-exercise just by taking time to rest and regenerate
your body. If you're not finishing your workouts feeling energized and
refreshed, cut back on the amount or intensity or your workouts. Then,
alternate harder workouts with easier, less strenuous activities such
as walking or light swimming. Take a day off at least once a week. This
rest time is as valuable to your program as a day at the gym. Stop exercising
when you feel chronic pain or excessive fatigue setting in. Set realistic
fitness goals, ones that you can achieve without over-exercising.
